Seaforth State School is a co-educational school in a small coastal location approximately 50km north of Mackay. The school values and provides quality education for all students from Prep to Year Six.
Seaforth is a ‘hidden oasis’ with beautifully maintained gardens and ovals. Our facilities are even more impressive than our gardens, comprising of multiple low set classroom buildings, a purpose built Early Years Centre, a full size Resource Centre with computer room, three playgrounds, an enclosed cricket pitch and floodlit multipurpose court that is capable of playing Tennis, Basketball, Netball and other sports on. In recent years, Seaforth State School repurposed some land to include a full sized maintained football field with staged seating that is utilised by the Mackay Cutters each year.
At Seaforth, we deliver the Australian Curriculum in a systematic and sequential manner through the implementation of Age Appropriate Pedagogies. We enhance the educational opportunities for our students by being part of the Northern Highway Cluster of schools, who work and compete with us at various events throughout the school year. Through the schools Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) processes, we enact a positive approach to behaviour by developing respectful, safe, responsible learners that value learning. Our extra-curricular program includes opportunities in academic, cultural and sporting experiences such as Reef Guardians, an annual camp, 0-4yrs Playgroup (Monday Munchkins), various incursions and excursions, garden club, community projects and leadership activities.
